Community Involvement

Speaking Events

Our passion for animals is reflected in our community outreach efforts. Dr. Krenz is available, free of charge, to speak on various topics, including feeding, weight management, vaccinations, dental care, and veterinary careers. Her expertise in these areas is available to organizations like schools, 4-H, Girl Scouts, FFA, pet organizations, volunteer groups and summer camps. In addition, Dr. Krenz has been specially trained to present 'Dog Bite Prevention' to many different age groups. Please call The Zimmerman Veterinary Clinic to schedule a speaking engagement.

Job Shadow

We encourage students to shadow our staff and learn more about potential careers in veterinary medicine. Students can follow a receptionist, technician or veterinarian. Students must be high school age. Recommended dress is khaki pants and a polo shirt. Students must call ahead of time to schedule an appropriate time to visit.

Technician Intern

We support local veterinary technician programs, offered at several colleges. We accept one technician intern at a time. Technician interns have the opportunity to receive hands-on experience under the direct supervision of a licensed technician. Please call our office for more information.
