Spring is here and we are so excited for the warmer temperatures and sunny days! Spring is the time for new growth and we are experiencing so many new things as our programs continue to grow and develop! Keep reading to learn more about what's happening at ZimmVet Pet Hotel, Dog Daycare, Training School, and Grooming Salon! 

Powering Up with Pawloyalty Software!

Our new software system went live on January 15th and, although it has been an adjustment, we are excited to utilize the great new features including faster booking, emailed and texted daily report cards, automated emails and reminders, credit card payment storage, and health alert emails that are sent directly to our veterinary staff and management team to ensure a quick response! Stay tuned for new features that will be coming out soon, including an app for your mobile device!

Online Booking Now Available! 

Our new software enables you to make reservation requests online! Here's how to do it!

1. Go to our website www.zimmvet.com

2. Click on the "Services" tab and select the appropriate service and page: Pet Daycare, Pet Hotel, Pet Training, Puppy Program, or Grooming

3. Scroll to the bottom of the page

4. Enter your email address

5. Select a Category: Boarding, Daycare, Grooming, Group Training, Training

6. Select a Service and hit the "Service Description" button if you need clarification on which service best meets your needs.

7. Select your drop off and pick up DATES

8. Select your drop off and pick up TIMES

9. Add any upgrades or activities (Private Training sessions, Room Service Items, etc.) 

10. Select "Book Appointment"

11. Review your invoice and select "Pay at Pick Up"

When your reservation request is received, it will be approved or denied based on availability. You can edit this reservation at any time by calling 763 -856-4848 or sending an email. If there is availability, you will receive a confirmation email immediately upon approval. If we are unable accommodate your reservation, you will receive an email stating that the request was not approved. 

Grooming is Taking Off Here at ZimmVet!

Our new groomers, Michaela and Sam are excited to be offering Basic grooms 7 days a week! As well as Full service and Premium grooms on Fridays!

With spring shedding season coming soon, the De-shed add on has been a huge hit! This Package includes a special shampoo and conditioner treatment, as well as thirty minutes of brushing with the Furminator or Zoom Groom brush! This will help release the undercoat, and with the conditioner they will leave with a nice shiny and soft coat!

Daycare 2.0 is Dog Daycare Done Right!

We are excited to announce a new format to our Daycare Program called Daycare 2.0! To be eligible, all guests must have temperament tested Green or Yellow, be spayed or neutered, and be over 6 months of age. Play groups will continue to be small and personalized based on size, age, and play style and this new format will allow even more time playing with friends and less time in their suite! Each dog will still have a suite available to them for naptime and lunch, however they will also rotate through environment enrichment activities, leadership exercises, meet and greets, and more! We are excited to continue offering a safe and healthy environment for your dog to burn energy, exercise, socialize, and build new skills! 

New REDiness Life Skills Building Program 

We are beyond thrilled to announce the development of a new board-and-train program here at ZimmVet called the REDiness Program. We have seen amazing results from our Puppy Program, which follows a very similar format, and are now excited to offer a service that provides individualized training to your dog during their visits to the Pet Hotel or Dog Daycare, regardless of age!

Our Temperament Test process and extensive staff training on dog body language and group play supervision allows us to identify dogs as green, yellow, or red, based on their comfort and relaxation level here at ZimmVet. Those dogs who are green and yellow are eligible for group play, while those dogs who are red or not eligible for group play receive one hour of exercise time each day. Our REDiness Program allows us to offer two training sessions to "red" dogs to help them develop skills in the areas that they struggled in during their Temperament Test.

Pet Hotel - Appointments outside of these listed times may be available for your convenience, however a $20 Extended Hours Fee will apply to any reservations who check in or out outside of designated time.

Check In: Monday-Friday 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM, Saturday-Sunday 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM

Check Out: Monday-Friday 6:00AM - 9:00AM, Saturday-Sunday 8:00 AM - 9:00 AM

Daycare - Guests who have a Daycare Reservation for a Half Day may Check-In or Check-Out between 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM

Check In: Monday-Friday 6:00 AM - 9:00 AM, Saturday-Sunday 8:00 AM - 9:00 AM

Check Out: Monday-Sunday 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM

Cancellation Policy Update and Reminder

As we come into the summer months, we are looking forward to caring for your pet during summer vacations! We fill up rather quickly in the summer, despite the addition of 20 suites last July so we encourage all guests to book sooner rather than later! Because of the high demand and limited space, we will be creating a waiting list as in past years. We are also updating our Cancellation Policy for the convenience of guests who need to cancel short notice and those guests who are awaiting availability. 

Our previous 72-hour notice requirement for reservations involving a weekend and 24-hour notice requirement for reservations involving weekdays will be updated to 48-hour notice for all Pet Hotel reservations on June 1st. This means that if a guest needs to update, shorten, or cancel a reservation we ask that we be informed via phone or email no later than 48 hours prior to your check-in time to avoid our cancellation fee ($20). Dog Daycare Cancellations must be made by 6:00 PM the day prior to the reservation to avoid the same cancellation fee.

Daycare Packages - Receive 5%, 10%, 15%, or 20% off of 5, 10, 15, or 20 Full Days (respectively) of Daycare. Unlimited Packages also available for a 50% Savings!

Puppy Discount - Dogs under 6 months will receive 30% off Daycare (Including Packages), Hotel, and Grooming Services. The Puppy Program Package will be discontinued on June 1st. 

Multi-Pet Disocunt - If multiple household pets are sharing the suite in the Pet Hotel, the second pet will receive a 10% discount

Hotel + Grooming - Dogs staying in the Pet Hotel for 7+ days are eligible for 10% off a Basic Groom

Katelyn has been working hard with Dr. Soderberg to offer healthy, tasty treats to dogs during their stays! She has a wide variety of treats to choose from and is adding more options all the time! All items are $2.50 and we recommend a maximum of three treats per day. These treats do not replace meals, however they are a great added treat for your pet to enjoy!

Breakfast Menu - Peanut Butter Pancake, Egg Cup, Berry Oatmeal

Dinner Menu - Chili, Beef Stew, Veggies and Rice

Putting Pet Health and Wellness First!

One of our objectives here at ZimmVet is Staff and Career Development. We believe in encouraging staff to pursue continuing education opportunities so that they can offer the best possible care to your pets! We want to take this moment to recognize Sam Sams, Michaela Tallant, Kari Meyer, and Laura Scharanbroich for their recent certification in Canine and Feline CPR and First Aid! Although all of our Pet Care Providers undergo Basic CPR and First Aid Training during their on-boarding process, these staff have gone the extra mile to ensure that they have the tools and resources to act quickly in the case of an emergency. Great job gals!

Bust Kennel Boredom with Busy Buddy Pet Products!

Does your dog experience boredom, restlessness, or anxiety while kenneled? Busy Buddy toys offer a mentally stimulating activity for dogs while they are in their kennel (or suite while visiting the Hotel!) Toys feature treat-holding, treat-dispensing, and even teeth brushing capabilities and come in sizes that are perfect for your pet. We use these toys in our Daycare program because they are super durable and easily cleaned! Check out our lobby if you are interested or you can purchase toys at the time of reservation!
